Bitch X Rich Episode 1 Recap

We kick off with a mysterious phone call between Si-eun and who we assume is Hye-in. There’s panic, a scream — and just like that, Si-eun is gone. Literally, she falls to her death right as Hye-in arrives at school. Hye-in is left stunned, trying to recover Si-eun’s phone (which could be crucial evidence), but it’s gone. And just like that, she becomes the center of suspicion. The police show up and drag her out of class, claiming she’s a witness — but their questions say otherwise. Everyone around her already thinks she’s guilty.

Meanwhile, the school chairman is more focused on saving the school’s image than finding out the truth. He wants to brush the whole thing under the rug and call it suicide. Je-na and Yul-hee pretend to be friends, but there’s serious tension. Yul-hee wants revenge, Je-na wants answers — and neither is being honest.

As for Hye-in, she’s dealing with more than just murder accusations. The school bullies, led by Bo-seok, are relentless, and her dad is struggling to afford her legal fees. Just when things hit rock bottom, Lee Sa-rang (So-mang’s brother) steps in to help her.

Elsewhere, Je-na is dealing with a family meltdown. Her father warns her that his divorce will go public soon. She panics and rushes to her mother, only to find her drunk and depressed. In a rare moment of empathy, Hye-in helps her out — but of course, Je-na gets picked up in a luxury car while Hye-in is left alone again. And just when you think Yul-hee might back off, she pulls another stunt — reporting Je-na to the school’s disciplinary committee. But Je-na fires back, hinting that she suspects Yul-hee had something to do with Hae-in’s mysterious disappearance. The claws are officially out.

The episode ends with one of the most painful scenes: Hye-in and her dad kneeling and begging Bo-seok’s mother for mercy after Hye-in fights back against bullying. It’s humiliating. It’s unfair. And it’s exactly the fuel Hye-in needs to declare — enough is enough quietly.

Bitch X Rich Episode 1 Review

This episode hits hard — emotionally and narratively reminds us why Bitch X Rich stood out in the first place. It’s not just about school gossip and catfights. It’s about the sickening imbalance of power between the rich and the “nobodies,” the ones who are expected to kneel, stay silent, and never fight back.

Hye-in continues to be the heart of the story. Watching her constantly punished for simply defending herself is heartbreaking — and maddening. But her quiet strength? Inspiring. The Je-na vs. Yul-hee drama is building up nicely, and their cold war is already juicier than anything from last season. We also get a hint that Si-eun’s death isn’t as straightforward as everyone wants it to be. Who was she really blackmailing? And where’s that missing phone? Oh—— and why hasn’t the school handed over CCTV footage? What are they hiding? The lack of basic investigation feels fishy. Someone powerful must be pulling strings, and it’s likely not just to protect the school.

Final Thoughts

Bitch X Rich S2 Episode 1 sets the bar high for Season 2. The drama, the mystery, the social commentary — it all comes together in a way that keeps you glued to the screen. Sure, we’re still missing a few characters from Season 1, and the recasting may feel jarring, but the story holds its own. If you thought Bitch X Rich couldn’t get darker or more intense — think again. The stakes are higher. The secrets are deeper. And Hye-in? She’s not going down without a fight. So, who do you think killed Si-eun? And what really happened to Hae-in?
