Good Boy Episode 4 Recap
Good Boy Episode 4, titled “Float Like a Butterfly,” kicks off right after that fiery ending in Episode 3. Dong-ju is raging with grief and frustration after losing his friend Gyeong-il, who was wrongly blamed for a hit-and-run and later killed in prison. And what does our boxer-turned-cop do? He punches the glass at the customs office, demanding justice from corrupt customs officer Min Joo-yeong.

This episode focuses on two major goals: proving Gyeong-il didn’t commit suicide and finding the imported luxury car used in the original hit-and-run. The special police unit—our lovable squad of former Olympic athletes—is split into teams to handle both tasks. Ji Han-na makes her return to the team, canceling her resignation and gets paired with her ex, Jong-Hyeon, while Dong-ju teams up with Jae-hong. Of course, this leads to some spicy jealousy and hilarious interactions.
But the real madness begins when the team comes up with a wild plan: stealing the Police Commissioner’s luxury car to bait the smuggling ring. The idea is crazy, but it works—they use the stolen car to track down a secret warehouse where high-end vehicles, including the one from the accident, are being stashed. Watching this cop-on-cop crime unfold with a straight face had me in stitches.

Meanwhile, Han-na starts her side investigation into her late father, who was also a cop. She finds out he once owned a limited-edition watch—the same kind that mysterious criminals like the “Golden Bunny” wear. This subplot brings a new layer of mystery and personal stakes, as we get flashbacks of young Han-na with her father that are both sweet and intriguing.
Episode 4 Review
This episode really shows how Good Boy balances action, comedy, and drama so well. Park Bo-gum absolutely shines as Dong-ju-his character is angry and hurting, but still razor-focused on seeking the truth. You can feel every ounce of emotion in his performance, especially in the scenes after Gyeong-il’s death.
Kim So-Hyun continues to be a strong presence, and I love how Han-na’s storyline is growing. It’s not just about romance or being a side character—her father’s past and the connection to the Golden Bunny storyline are adding real weight to her arc.

Lee Sang-yi brings his usual charm and subtle tension, especially in scenes with Han-na. But the scene-stealer this time/ Heo Sung-tae as the quirky team leader, Min Joo-yeong. His comic timing is perfect. Whether he’s accidentally causing chaos or just being eccentric self, he brings the laughs every single time.

Good Boy Episode 4 Review: Kim So-hyun
The car heist plan is probably one of my favorite sequences so far. It’s absurd, risky, and entertaining from start to finish. The action scenes are clean, stylish, and well-edited, but it’s the mix of tension and humor that makes the episode so enjoyable. And let’s not forget the subtle moments—like Han-na’s quiet flashbacks or Dong-ju’s silent grief–that ground all the action with emotional depth.
Final Thoughts
Episode 4 is easily one of the best in the series so far. It keeps things moving at a fast pace while giving every main character a meaningful arc. The emotional weight of Gyeong-il’s death, the thrilling car heist, and the growing mystery behind the Golden Bunny all come together to create an episode that’s as entertaining as it is gripping.
Park Bo-gum is in his element here—strong, vulnerable, and absolutely captivating. And with each episode, this drama is becoming harder to stop watching. The chemistry among the cast, the unpredictable twists, and the smooth blend of genres make Good Boy a must-watch every week.
